WIP Scarf and Scarf

Well I seem to be in a scarf mood right now...well Kind of.
First I wanted to make a hat that could also be a scarf, I'm not sure what you would call it a, "Harf" or maybe a "Scat?" Wait Scat wont work its poo and I don't want to call it poo.
Either way I am using one of my favorite yarns, the Denim line by Bernat I made the kids winter sweaters out of this a few years ago.  It so soft and easy to work with.
Anyhow here is my Harf Scat in progress at about 3 feet in length.

The other scarf I have re-started several times and should have done it again...but I think I will turn my OOPS into a new pattern.  It is the linen weave style of knitting At first I had a hard time noticing the pattern.  And it kind of got flopped around,  Then once I got to a certain point...and state of mind I fell in love with the look.  The idea behind it is to use the little tidbits that you really cant use for much or to dwindle down your stash a bit.  So I don't get so controlling and precise about it...ahem...like I would ever do that.  I have one of the kids pick out the next yarn.
You can see my glitch where the yellow is but I am going to repeat the same colors and do the glitch again to make a border on each side...hopefully.

Have fun and keep on knitting.

  1. If that's the linen stitch scarf I've made it, it's a labor of love isn't it? Yours is lovely!!

  6. Ummm, I think you would call it a hooded scarf and I love them. Much more comfortable and hair friendly than a hat and scarf. Beautiful yarn.
