WIP-Wednesday

I am working on a shawl for myself for the fall, finnally something for me.  The pattern is really easy and gives you a little open work for interest and fun. This is a great take along, you don't have to look at any charts or patterns, its really that easy.

The Pattern  Aunt Barb's Simple Shawl is on Ravelry.

The yarn I used is Starry Night by Red Heart Boutique the Eclipse line.  It's not as soft as I would like it but the colors worked with  my cold weather clothes.  Its hard to tell from the photo but the green isn't so bright and there is a stripe of turqoise and brown that doesn't show up very well.

It looks like it will be a great shawl.

It's looking gorgeous Carrie, isn't it wonderful to make something just for you?!

Thank you Marie, I am looking forward to it in the fall.

And it feels so good to make something for myself.

Easy, hmm, I'd like to believe that, but it doesn't look easy. I started knitting about seven years ago when I decided I wanted my fourth graders to learn how to knit. Figured I'd better get it down first. Here I am, still knitting scarves. Your shawl is looking beautiful!
